River Teifi at Llechryd Bridge 171220

Llechryd Bridge

This rather scary image was taken near Llechryd bridge just 100 metres down the road from Flambards, one week before Christmas. Notice the road signs to th left of the trees, that is where the bridge nornally is. Our neighbours below us had no access from the front of their properties & some had to use an access through our back garden for delineries etc. One property had to use this access in order to move into their home, with removal men making a path through the back gardens.

Believe it or not, I was able to walk the dog across the bridge within 24 hours, though access to the properties took a little while longer. This is the second time the bridge has been totally submerged in the last 10 months.

Gwbert Christmas Day 1

Gwbert Beach

This image was taken on Christmas Day 2020 around 4pm, just before dusk.

The tide was in & there was absolutely nobody on the beach. There was hardly any wind & demonstrates that it is a lovely place all year round.

When the tide is in there isn’t much beach to walk on, so we had to make use of the path just above the rocks in front of the caravan park, which takes you down to the corner. There is also a path up to the road & a bench to view the rugged coastal scenery along this way.
