About Flambards

Welcome to your hotel

After spending more than a century & a half as a public house called The Carpenters Arms, it was refurbished in 2015 & re-named Flambards Hotel. Acquiring the hotel in February 2020, Mac & Paulette are keen to create a fun & friendly environment for hotel guests to enjoy in the unique & quirky atmosphere the building creates.
Originally from Solihull in the West Midlands, we moved to the Isle of Wight in 1996. We spent the next 17 years running a public house in the centre of Freshwater in the West Wight. Following that we had a beachside café at Colwell Bay before deciding on a new challenge here in West Wales.

Our hotel is perfectly situated to explore Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire & Ceredigion. We are on the main road from Cenarth Falls (5 miles away) & Cardigan, with the beautiful beach of Poppit Sands. Aberystwyth to the north is just 40 miles away, Tenby around the same distance, to the South & we are located right on the border of the beautiful Pembrokeshire, with Haverfordwest just 25 miles away.
We really do work hard to make your visit to Flambards Hotel a memorable experience.
